Andy Yoo is currently the General Counsel of Upstream (Edtech). He was formerly Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Savvas, one of the leading Edtech companies in the education and learning sector. His work focuses on Digital Strategy, Educational Technology, Education Policy, Government Procurement, Data Privacy, Copyright and Trademark, Online Learning, Antitrust, Strategic Partnerships, M&A, Litigation, Labor and Employment, Compliance, International Regulatory and other In-House operations.

As a current board member and Law Student Outreach co-chair of KALAGNY, he is passionate about supporting law students and increasing diversity in the legal profession. He has previously served on the board of the Asian American Bar Association of New York, Minority Corporate Counsel Association, and PipelinetoPractice Foundation and served in various leadership roles with Diversity Lab, NAMWOLF and the American Bar Association.

Prior to Savvas, he was a senior attorney at global media companies Pearson PLC and ViacomCBS and started his career as an associate with the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City. Andy graduated with a B.A. from Cornell University and received his law degree from NYU where he was a member of the Law Review and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif.

Jennifer Song is the Managing Partner and Founder of Athena Search Group. Prior to founding Athena, Jennifer spent nearly a decade recruiting at another search firm.

Before becoming a recruiter, Jennifer practiced law as a banking and finance associate with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP where she gained extensive experience representing borrowers and lenders in connection with domestic and international financings. She then served as the Senior Director of Business Affairs at Major League Gaming, handling all in-house corporate legal matters as well as licensing-related business matters. And when LexisNexis was looking for a BigLaw finance associate to create, develop, strategize and launch a new online legal practical guidance tool, she joined as the Manager of Content and Product Initiatives for the Finance module.

This diverse experience in the legal industry gives Jennifer a unique perspective that lends itself to understanding a candidate’s situation, goals and aspirations, as well as insight into clients’ hiring needs. As someone who enjoys helping others, Jennifer loves the process of listening to and building long-term relationships with both candidates and clients in order to find that perfect match and reach the best possible outcome.

Jennifer earned her J.D. from The University of Pennsylvania Law School where she was an Editor on the Journal of International Economic Law and her B.A., magna cum laude in Psychology and Political Science from Rice University where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, cooking and baking, reading and spending time with her husband and three children. Jennifer is a Board Member as well as co-chair of the Women’s Committee for the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York.

Joseph Choe is an associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher in New York, where he represents clients in international arbitration and cross-border litigation matters. He serves on the Arbitration and International Law Committees of the New York City Bar Association and is a Regional Representative of the Young Practitioners’ Group of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA). Joe is also an Editor of the Kluwer Arbitration Blog, with a focus on East and Central Asia, and is Co-Chair of the New York chapter of the Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (VYAP). In addition to his commercial practice, he maintains an active pro bono practice representing asylum seekers, serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cardozo School of Law, and is a member of the WashU Law AI Advisory Board.

Joe serves as VP of Communications of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY) where he also co-chairs the Law Student Outreach Committee. He also sits on the associate board of the Korean American Community Foundation (KACF) and executive board of Korean American Civic Engagement (KACE).

Originally from Colorado, Joe graduated with an A.B. magna cum laude in economics from Harvard College and J.D. from Harvard Law School and is admitted to practice law in New York and Washington, D.C.
